So my guess is that Roadhouse doesn't follow what Mastodon calls "locked" accounts.

The follow request did turn up eventually. It might just be that Roadhouse sends them out in a batch every so often.

I think it might have been due to an unrelated bug on the Epicyon side, which was causing a crash and so messing with the inbox processing.
